How to choose the right quick release shot

Every hockey player knows that it is sometimes hard to choose the right quick release shot.

In this article, Total female hockey director; Kim McCullough will guide you on how to do this the right way.

She has this to say:

“When it comes to getting shots off quickly, it’s important for players to understand which shot makes the most sense given the circumstance.”

“Is the puck positioned in front of them or beside them? Do they have time and space or do they have to get it off quickly under pressure and with traffic? There are lots of things to take into consideration when making the right shot decision – but first players need to have a solid foundation of getting both wrist shots and snapshots off quickly”

In this 18 minute video, I go through the proper techniques for shooting both of these shots in stride and how to decide which shot to use at the right time. Enjoy!
