How To Perform a Slap Shot


Slap shots are one of the most essential skills hockey players must possess in order to effectively play the game.


It is also one of the hardest and deadliest kinds of shots, as it can reach speeds that supersede 100mph.


According to Collins Dictionary, a slap shot is a “hard, fast, often wild, shot executed with a powerful downward swing, and with the blade of the stick brushing firmly against the ice prior to striking the puck”.

As easy as the definition might seem, many female hockey players have problems making slap shots.
